What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Assistant position at WyndRidge Health and Rehabilitation Center?
- Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily activities such as games, crafts, exercise sessions, music programs, and social events
- Encourage and motivate residents/participants to take part in activities
- Provide one-on-one visits for individuals who cannot participate in group programs
- Prepare activity areas, materials, and equipment before and after programs
- Escort or transport residents to and from activities as needed
- Help coordinate special events, outings, and holiday celebrations
- Document participation, progress, and any noteworthy observations
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, families, and staff
- Follow all safety guidelines, infection-control practices, and organizational policies.
