Responsibilities:
- Washing Dishes: Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dishwashers or wash them by hand.
- Operating Dishwashers: Load, unload, and monitor the performance of dishwashers.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, and workstations, including floors and storage areas.
- Storing Dishes: Organize and store clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment properly.
- Waste Management: Empty trash and recycling receptacles, ensuring proper disposal.
- Food Prep Assistance: Assist with basic food preparation tasks like peeling or portioning food when needed.
- Sanitation Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, including those related to food safety and hygiene.
- Monitoring Supplies: Monitor dishwashing supplies and report needs to the kitchen supervisor.
- General Cleaning: Perform other cleaning duties as requested by kitchen staff or supervisors.
- Closing Duties: Assist with closing procedures, including sanitizing food preparation stations.
- Reporting Issues: Report any mechanical or sanitation issues with dishwashing machines or other equipment.
