Electrical Estimator:
An electrical estimator evaluates construction projects to assess the complexity of each project, determining the cost of labor and material. Electrical estimators compile data, such as labor rates, material prices, and overhead, to estimate the project cost.
Job Description:
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare materials, and labor cost estimates.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and understand the complete scope of work required.
- Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products.
- Maintain integrity and respect with our subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
- Perform bid takeoffs for projects.
- Review and understand all documents/components of each Electrical Project.
- Solicit and obtain bids from qualified subcontractors and vendors by specifying materials, scope of work, negotiating price, scheduling.
- Work on multiple bids simultaneously, while maintaining accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
- A good understanding of the basics of the electrical trade.
- A willingness to adapt and learn.
- Ability to interpret blueprint, plans and specifications.
- Great organizational and time management skills, and the ability to multitask are a must.
- High attention to detail. Accuracy is a core requirement of estimating and attention to every detail ensures a better level of accuracy.
- Minimum 3 years Commercial Electrical Construction experience.
- Strong computerized estimating skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe, Blue Beam, McCormick and Accubid are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and Strong Communication Skills
- Strong written communication skills.
- This is a Full-time in office position.
