Job Description: The Platform Operations Management Trainee will participate in the daily operations and process development of our U.S. domestic last-mile truck transportation platform. The platform covers LTL, FTL, Partial Truckload, and Volume Shipment services, with a core focus on improving the efficiency of quoting, ordering, tracking, exception handling, and customer service through systematized operations and standardized processes.
This is a development-oriented role focused on platform operations and process building, suited to candidates with strong learning ability and solid execution who are interested in logistics operations, process optimization, SOP development, and the growth of a platform-based business.
After onboarding, you will begin with daily operations support and gradually take part in organizing customer requirements, maintaining transportation data, system testing, building process documentation, and optimizing operating rules, developing an understanding of LTL, FTL, Partial, and shared-truckload transportation models through real business work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Participate in the platform's daily operations, including customer inquiries, quoting, orders, shipment tracking, status updates, and exception reporting.
2. Help maintain the transportation status of each shipment, ensuring that milestones such as pickup, in-transit, delivery, and sign-off are clear, accurate, and updated in a timely manner.
3. Take part in mapping operations, customer service, quoting, and exception-handling processes and building SOPs, helping turn daily operations into standardized procedures.
4. Organize transportation data, quote records, customer requirements, exception cases, and service feedback to support subsequent operational optimization and process adjustments.
5. Participate in testing platform workflows, documenting system issues, user feedback, and operational pain points, and supporting the team in driving system iteration.
6. Maintain communication with customers, internal teams, and carriers to help follow up on transportation progress, service milestones, and exceptions.
7. Support account managers in organizing customer requirements, following up on transportation solutions, preparing business-review materials, and supporting customer relationship maintenance.
8. Support the team in moving the platform from manual operations toward standardized, systematized, and platform-based operations.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree preferred; majors in logistics, supply chain, business, operations management, data analysis, or related fields preferred.
2. Strong learning ability; able to quickly understand business processes and continuously improve working methods in practice.
3. Bilingual in English and Mandarin, able to communicate with customers, internal teams, and carriers.
4. Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, WPS / multidimensional spreadsheets, with solid spreadsheet-organization and data-maintenance skills.
5. Interested in process mapping, rule-setting, SOP development, and platform-based operations.
6. Detail-oriented and responsible; able to follow up on tasks promptly and keep information accurate and complete.
7. Able to adapt to a multi-tasking, fast-paced logistics operations environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Internship or work experience in logistics, supply chain, cross-border e-commerce, operations, or customer service.
2. Understanding of LTL, FTL, Partial Truckload, Volume Shipment, or shared-truckload models.
3. Experience organizing process documentation, building SOPs, optimizing spreadsheets, or system testing.
4. Solid spreadsheet skills, familiar with formulas, filters, and pivot tables.
5. Interest in building business processes, platform tools, or operating systems from 0 to 1.\
Growth Tracks:
1. Operation Analysis Manager — responsible for platform process building, SOP optimization, system testing, data organization, and maintaining operating rules.
2. Last-Mile Dispatch Manager — responsible for transportation operations execution, exception handling, milestone follow-up, and operational optimization.
3. Customer Success / Account Manager — responsible for customer-need follow-up, transportation-solution communication, customer relationship maintenance, and business-growth support.
