Facility Maintenance Assistant

Description

• Cleaning and pressure washing on a regular basis.
• Opening procedures including unlocking doors and performing property inspections.
• Checking swimming pool/spa water levels and temperatures
• Using power blower to remove leaves and debris from walkways.
• Required use of electronic maintenance management system for all work orders.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and interpret retail product labeling.
• Assisting Maintenance Technicians when needed.
• Work order repairs.
• MUST work weekends.
• Driving a golf cart is required. Therefore, must have valid driver's license in good standing. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

Responsibilities include: working under direct supervision and independently, using standardized procedures; complete tasks to 100% completion. Report and work directly with other maintenance personnel to achieve the high standards required by the facility and membership. 

Working Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting of up to and exceeding 75 lbs, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 40% walking, and 55% standing. The job is performed under some temperature variations and some hazardous conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: power and hand tools, adhering to safety practices, general trouble shooting knowledge, general computer knowledge, handling hazardous materials.
• Must have general knowledge of groundskeeping and cleaning, carpentry, painting, dry wall patch, along with the tools and materials used in building maintenance and repair specialties.
• Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances; and operate equipment using a variety of standardized methods. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adapting to changing work priorities; communicating with diverse groups; meeting deadlines and schedules; ability to work on call and receive after hours work assignments; working as part of a team.
• Required-Must possess a valid driver's license and remain in good-standing at all times. 

Experience: No experience is required but a strong work ethic and professional attitude as a must.
