Sales Associate & Technical Support Specialist
Pay: Starting at $17 per hour plus bonuses
Job Type: Part-time
Work Setting: In-person / On-site
Schedule: 20 hours per week, must be available for occasional weekends and holidays
About the Role
We're a fast-paced, high-end retail studio in Wyckoff, NJ, known for elevated, detail-perfect gifting and special-occasion pieces. We're looking for a personable, customer-focused professional who can confidently sell, support daily operations, and provide hands-on technical assistance when needed.
You'll be the first impression on the sales floor and on the phone, helping customers choose the right options, guiding upgrades, and ensuring a polished, luxury-level experience every time. In addition, you'll serve as an internal technology resource, helping maintain our systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and support staff with technology training and documentation.
What You'll Do
Customer Sales & Service
- Engage customers in-store: greet, guide, and create a premium experience that feels warm, confident, and effortless
- Convert phone inquiries into orders: ask great questions, recommend options, suggest upgrades, and close professionally
- Take phone orders: capture details, preferences, timing, and special instructions clearly
- Use POS and computer systems efficiently (enter orders, process payments, customer notes, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, elevated retail environment, including presentation, packaging standards, and a luxury-ready sales floor
Technical & Administrative Support
- Troubleshoot workstations, printers, software, and basic network connectivity issues
- Assist with setup, maintenance, and support of computers, peripherals, and office technology
- Update and maintain company web pages and online content
- Create and maintain easy-to-follow technology guides, training materials, and "how-to" documentation for staff
- Support team members with day-to-day technology questions and best practices
- Help coordinate with outside IT vendors when advanced technical support is required
- Maintain organized records of technical procedures, passwords, systems, and equipment inventory
What We're Looking For
- 2 years of retail, sales, customer service, or related experience
- Strong customer service and sales skills with confidence engaging both in person and over the phone
- Technical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve common workstation, printer, software, and network issues
- Experience updating websites or web content preferred
- Ability to create clear written instructions and training documentation for non-technical users
- Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and professional demeanor
- Organized, calm under pressure, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable learning and using POS systems, business software, and technology tools
- Fluent English required
