**Power Equipment Operator Group 1**
- 2 positions**
- Operate light to medium construction equipment used in heavy civil and highway
excavators
- Perform basic excavation, grading, backfilling, and material handling operations
- Assist with roadway, utility, embankment, and structural construction activities
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance such as
- Coordinate equipment movements with ground crews to maintain safe and efficient
- Follow traffic control plans, jobsite safety rules, and operational procedures
- Accurately perform work while maintaining production and quality standards
- Ability to safely operate assigned construction equipment in varying site conditions
- Basic knowledge of heavy civil construction practices and materials
- Understanding of jobsite safety requirements, including working around personnel
- Ability to follow instructions, read basic grade stakes, and work as part of a
- Good hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail
- Physical ability to work long hours outdoors in all weather conditions
- Dependable, safety-focused, and adaptable to changing jobsite needs
