What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Inspector / Resale Assistant position at WVA?
It is the job of the Compliance/Resale Inspector to represent WVA in a highly professional manner and to enhance the Association’s services and administrative effectiveness by providing information to our residents and vendors with the utmost of respect to both. Assist WVA Homeowners, Board of Directors and WVA Administration personnel and to do this with enthusiasm, respect and confidentiality. Finally, the Compliance/Resale Assistant is expected to update and organize as needed and be able to make changes for efficiency, be proactive and self-motivated.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
· Interface with homeowners to answer questions and assist with Architectural Control Applications and Standards
· Tours the property daily for violations on a designated route
· Composes and prepares violation letters
· Does data entry of violation letters
· Maintains a tickler file of violations for weekly follow-up
· Inspects properties to follow up on violations
· Update Homeowners’ lot files as needed
· Compliance Inspector is the main homeowner contact to discuss violations
· Monitor sign placement
· Preparation of monthly “Blue Page” article for Compliance
· Responsible for lunch coverage at front desk daily
· Interface with homeowners regarding compliance
· Perform resale home inspections and take photos
· Print photos and give to AGM
· Prepare and mail buyer and seller packets for resales
· File all correspondence for compliance department
· Assist AGM or Gm with ongoing projects as time allows
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Compliance/Resale Inspector has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum of 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior work experience within Home Owners Association office(s) preferred.
Employee must have the ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Must possess above average clerical skills, team ethics, as well as customer service skills
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Employee must be able to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents, visitors and other employees of the organization. Employee must have the ability to deal with difficult people in difficult situations at the reception desk. Possess pleasant telephone voice and usage of telephone etiquette.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Employee must have the ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Ability to operate computer and software used to run resident data base as well as general word software.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Employee must have the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Maintain professional courteous attitude.
