About the Role
The AP Accounting Accountant II is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations. This role supports financial operations by managing the full accounts payable cycle, maintaining compliance standards, and assisting with reporting and audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all daily accounts payable functions.
- Determine weekly vendor payment schedules.
- Process ACH, wire, and check payments.
- Verify invoice approvals, code invoices, and enter them into the system.
- Review vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile open invoices, GRIR accounts, and AP balance sheet items.
- Maintain ICFR compliance across AP duties.
- Produce daily and weekly cash reports.
- Train AP team members as needed.
- Support year-end audit requests and government reporting.
- Oversee unclaimed property and track capital projects.
- Handle AP email inbox and assist with miscellaneous projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Experience in accounting or bookkeeping required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel; SAP experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Office setting with standard office equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for up to 8 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Occasional local travel as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49,536.87 - $59,657.31 per year
