Registered Armed Officer

Overview

We are seeking a highly vigilant and disciplined Registered Armed Officer to uphold the safety and security of our premises. This vital role involves managing access control, conducting surveillance, and responding swiftly to security incidents with professionalism and confidence. As a Registered Armed Officer, you will be the frontline defender, ensuring a secure environment through proactive patrols, incident management, and adherence to all security regulations. Your expertise in firearm handling, conflict de-escalation, and emergency procedures will be instrumental in maintaining safety and order. This is for an apartment complex and also for a school in the morning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patrols of the facility using CCTV systems and physical security measures to monitor for suspicious activity or breaches.
• Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and authorized personnel.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, utilizing conflict management skills and emergency response procedures including CPR, AED operation, Taser deployment, and first aid as needed.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other occurrences with clarity and accuracy.
• Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors as part of the screening process to ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Operate firearms safely and responsibly in accordance with legal regulations and company policies; perform regular firearm handling checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Conduct surveillance activities including CCTV monitoring, manual patrolling, and inspecting access points to prevent theft or unauthorized entry.
• Execute heavy lifting or manual handling tasks when required for equipment or securing premises.
• Ensure compliance with all security regulations, including fire safety protocols, incident reporting standards, and confidentiality policies.

Experience

• Proven experience in physical security roles such as military service, law enforcement, or private security is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in surveillance techniques including CCTV operation and monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures such as first aid, CPR, AED operation, and conflict de-escalation tactics.
• Familiarity with access control systems and performing background checks on personnel or visitors.
• Strong understanding of legal regulations related to firearm handling and security operations.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to manage conflicts professionally while maintaining a calm demeanor.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
