About the Role As a Tooling Coordinator at Wheatland Tube in Blytheville, AR, you will play a key role in overseeing the set-up department and coordinating tooling activities to ensure production efficiency, accuracy, and safety. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment, enjoys problem-solving, and demonstrates strong leadership skills. What You’ll Do Ensures tooling is available and in acceptable condition to meet production needs. Orders tooling, saw blades, slitter blades, and slitter spacers to maintain inventory. Orders parts for ID mandrels, inductors, and impeders. Troubleshoots slitters set-up, ID mandrels, and mill set-ups to resolve issues quickly. Oversees ID mandrels and mill set-ups to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Calibrates slitter head alignment and mill stand alignment. Develops and maintains user-friendly mill tooling and set-ups. Prepares all mill settings to support production requirements. Ensures tooling is assembled properly and in good working condition. Calculates strip widths for tube sizes and manages regrinds. Supervises Tooling Department employees, including scheduling, training, and administration of discipline. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Leads and promotes health and safety practices in accordance with regulatory agencies and company policy. Performs additional duties as assigned by management. Who You Are Experience in manufacturing, production, or tooling coordination, preferably in the steel or tube industry. Strong technical knowledge of tooling, slitters, and mill set-ups. Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Effective leadership and team management skills. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality. Physical Abilities Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Walks or stands for at least 80% of the shift.
