This is a non-merit system, long-term contract position. This opportunity is open to current WSSC Water employees only.
The IT Analyst – IT Customer Solutions will work closely with the Application Managers to provide detailed reports, analytics, metrics, meeting notes, collaboration support, and presentations utilizing excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and experience in data analysis, project management, and collaboration tools. The IT Analyst will also provide insights and recommendations to help the IT department make good, informed decisions.

Essential Functions
- Collects and analyzes data to create detailed reports, dashboards, and metrics to track the performance of IT projects, initiatives, and resources
- Attend and document meetings with managers, create meeting notes, and track action items to ensure follow-through on key decisions and initiatives
- Collaborates with IT team members to develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Provides support for collaboration tools, such as Teams, including managing channels, creating templates, and ensuring information is up-to-date and easily accessible
- Creates and delivers presentations that clearly communicate complex data and analysis to a variety of audiences
- Develops and maintains an understanding of current and emerging technologies that could impact the IT department’s operations and goals
- Provide ad-hoc support to managers as needed
Other Functions
- Tracks, monitors, controls, and reports on proposed major departmental activities and projects at a high-level to ensure all communications are properly conveyed
- Performs detailed fact gathering, data compilation, analysis and report writing on budgets, organizations, personnel staffing, operations, and administrative systems
- Stays current with emerging trends and technologies and tools; makes recommendations for new tools and technologies as necessary
- Develops and maintains documentation, ensuring all information is accurate and current • Performs other related duties as assigned

- Extensive knowledge of the principles and methods of data collection, analysis and compilation
- Ability to write clear concise reports, memoranda, directives, and letters
- Ability to develop clear and concise department metrics reports
- Ability to develop solutions leading to intuitive understanding of a concept or idea
- Ability to plan, assign and coordinate the work of others
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information to technical and non-technical audiences
- Skill in collecting IT department metrics and reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis and presentation tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years experience supporting IT teams with data collection and analysis
OR
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
- 7 years experience supporting IT teams with data collection and analysis
