WSSC Water seeks a Sr. Manager, Network Infrastructure & Data Center Operations (NIDCO) to lead and direct the team and provide day-to-day oversight and management of data centers, data networks, platforms, telecommunications infrastructure, and technical facilities. The scope of responsibilities includes management of a 24×7×365 mission critical data center and infrastructure operations, including oversight of related infrastructure activities in all project phases beginning with requirements gathering through implementation, with on-going production and on-call support.
Key Functions:
- Oversees and directs all aspects of the 24×7×365 mission critical data center, platforms, cloud infrastructure, and network/telecommunication infrastructure operations, including plans, designs, and implementation, deployment, support and maintenance functions
- Exercises leadership and day-to-day management of technical teams tasked with the operations of the data center, data network, platforms, telecom network, call/contact center systems operations and services
- Serves as the senior level escalation point for data center operations and infrastructure managers and staff that responds and resolves all infrastructure operational issues
- Establishes high performance and optimized data center, network operations center and telecommunication infrastructure, facilities and services
- Manages external vendor relationships with contract administrators to review/negotiate/revise relevant contracts
- Oversees the management of service level agreements with vendors and service providers
- Develops policies and procedures for all information technology infrastructure operating environments
- Reports key metrics on data center, platforms and network/telecommunication infrastructure operational activity
- Serves as liaison with governmental and non-governmental entities anticipating the acquisition or maintenance of communications equipment at Commission facilities; manages such relationships and service level agreements
- Manages and ensures compliance with FCC regulations and other regulatory bodies
- Manages and oversees the maintenance of all assets for the data center, platforms, networks, telecommunications, and other infrastructure
- Provides strategic direction for growth with business plans for technology infrastructure operations capacity planning
- Designs infrastructure technology services to meet business service level agreements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ experience in data center, LAN/WAN, and telecommunication administration and network operations management
- Experience must include the following:
- Infrastructure/network operations support and PBX implementation and support
- Developing and implementing operational plans, which may include budgets, processes, and infrastructure methodologies
- Implementing call center and contact center solutions
- Designing, managing and implementing network and data center infrastructure to support Disaster Recovery/COOP and Business Continuity plans
- Operations, project applications, and project management; working with/meeting business users’ requirements
- 3 years’ experience managing technology teams
Preferences:
- Work experience in a water/wastewater utility
- Master’s or other advanced degree

Salary : $168,976 - $287,716
