Your Impact
- Perform engineering investigations and design support tasks under the direction of senior engineering professionals
- Perform laboratory and field tests according to prescribed procedures, processes, and standards
- Collect soil samples, prepare samples for testing, record data, and prepare summary reports
- Observe and document routine construction operations and write routine field reports
- Assist and observe contractor work on construction projects and interact with client, contractor or subcontractor representatives accordingly
- Perform a variety of non-technical tasks designed to assist others in preparing for and/or conducting office, laboratory or field activities
Required Qualifications
- Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 0-1 years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with excellent analytical abilities, leadership ability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work both independently and within groups
- Competence in the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is necessary
- Familiarity with discipline-specific design software - AutoCAD, GINT, Slide, etc.
- FE/EIT (or ability to obtain EIT within 1 year) required
- Valid driver’s license
- Engineer in Training Certification
- Some prior experience in field and laboratory testing, geotechnical drilling, or construction inspection.
- Knowledge of construction methods and practices.
