This Opportunity
The Document Control and Project Specialist serves as a subject matter expert in reinforcing structure, governance, and team accountability. This role blends framework expertise, technical writing, and project controls in alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements.
The specialist partners cross ‑ functionally with IT, cybersecurity, operations, legal, and compliance stakeholders to drive consistent high-quality regulatory documentation and program management.
The candidate hired for this role will function as a representative of the owner’s engineering team through project closeout.
Candidates in this role will focus on disciplined project controls, improving communication and alignment, and creating scalable processes that enhance project performance across the entire program.

Your Impact
- Establish and maintain standardized document control processes to promote accuracy, consistency, and traceability
- Coordinate document workflows, including reviews, approvals, and version management
- Support quality assurance efforts to ensure alignment with project standards and requirements
- Implement and manage project tools and frameworks such as RAID logs, RACI matrices, and decision tracking mechanisms
- Support clear definition and documentation of roles, responsibilities, and workflows
- Assist in tracking project risks, issues, and key decisions to support informed project delivery
- Facilitate communication across project teams and stakeholders to support alignment and clarity
- Organize and support structured meetings, including capturing and tracking action items and decisions
- Serve as a central coordination point to help streamline information flow across teams
- Provide consistent support across workstreams to help maintain momentum and organization as the program evolves
- Assist with onboarding and integration of team members by ensuring access to clear processes and documentation
- Help distribute workload through structured systems and shared tools
- Develop and refine repeatable processes and tools that support efficiency and scalability
- Document workflows and best practices to support consistency across the program
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in project delivery and team effectiveness
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Quality Assurance, Statistics, Engineering, Natural Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working within electric utilities, energy sector, or other critical infrastructure environments
- Familiarity with client-driven or owner-directed project environments
- Prior experience leading or coordinating cross ‑ functional compliance initiatives involving IT, cybersecurity, operations, and legal teams
- Experience with document management systems such as SharePoint, Aconex, or similar platforms
- Practical experience managing regulatory timelines, remediation activities, and dependency tracking
- Project management experience within compliance ‑ driven initiatives, including coordination across multiple stakeholders
- Experience developing scalable frameworks applicable across multiple project teams or work packages
- Experience supporting continuous improvement or compliance maturity initiatives
- Exposure to internal or external regulatory exams, self ‑ certifications, or enforcement actions
