Shop Foreman

The Shop Foreman will oversee all daily operations of an HVAC manufacturing shop by supervising production workers to ensure efficiency and quality ensuring policies and procedures are followed.

Essential Functions:

• Distributes work in a fair, unbiased manner in accordance with shop workload and customer needs.
• Supervises and assists fabricators on the job when necessary and assigns duties to shop workers.
• Reports all problems or misconduct to management immediately.
• Maintains work records and files.
• Assists in prioritizing tasks involved in client work orders.
• Reviews work completed to ensure it is up to quality standards.
• Ensures that all deadlines are met.
• Coordinates with Maintenance department on machine repairs.
• Informs purchasing department when stock is low for reorder.
• Oversees the daily work of employees.
• Involved in recruitment of new shop employees.
• Provides employee training.
• Ensures workers are trained on and comply with safety procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 2 years of supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of HVAC airflow products preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Handles issues in the best interest of both customer and company.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to include quality telephone skills, with the ability to clearly communicate information to customers, co-workers and management.
• Ability to read and review pricing sheets on products built.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
• Applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Deals with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to operate computer software, to include, Microsoft Office products.
• Exercises good judgment in decision making and prioritizing.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize.
• Ability to use basic office equipment, such as copy machine, fax machine, computer, printer, adding machine, and telephone system.
• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Must frequently walk and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Shift time: 5:00am - 3:00pm

Pay dependent upon experience
