What are the responsibilities and job description for the First Shift Window Clerk- Carson, CA position at WSI?
We are hiring for a Window Clerk. In this position, you will be responsible for customer service on the phone, through email and at the service window. This full-time hourly position will report to the Warehouse Manager and be primarily responsible for establishing assisting in the needs of the warehouse staff, customers and truck drivers. Hours are Monday- Friday 6:00 AM-1:30 PM. Pay is $20/hour.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Answer phones, voicemails and emails in a professional prompt manner
- Have working knowledge of the company and customer computer systems
- Accurately and timely enter data as required
- Able to prioritize and balance multiple tasks at the same time
- Resolve discrepancies/provide update statuses with order documents and carrier assignments
- Willing to double check orders on warehouse docks
- File Paperwork in a timely manner
- Other duties may be assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent respectful communication skills with customers and employees
- Strong Attention to Detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel
- Self-motivated and works well with limited direction
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Working knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing) systems
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time sitting at a desk on the computer and speaking with internal and external customers on the phone.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
- Ability to repetitively twist or turn; stand, climb, kneel, stoop and squat, as needed
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, as needed
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow dress code guided by the company
