NewLane Finance is immediately seeking an experienced Property Tax Analyst with strong skills in, but not limited to, effective communication, ability to identify issues and provide solutions, attention to detail and time management. The position is responsible for managing personal property tax and business license compliance nationwide

Essential Functions:
- Assist with performing related financial accounting, servicing, operating, and reporting activities as directed and assigned by management.
- Prepare G/L account reconciliations for subsidiary and affiliated entities.
- Preform variance analysis on balance sheet and income statement accounts, research and correct discrepancies as necessary.
- Support the month end accounting close process and accounting & analysis activities in accordance with parent accounting calendar for subsidiary and affiliated entities.
- Prepare accurate, and timely file personal property tax returns. This would include return filings, assessment review, and the appeal process.
- Receive, sort, and categorize notifications from taxing authorities and then enter that information into the property tax database.
- Collect and review all assessed value notices and property tax bills.
- Manage and validate the processing of tax payments to ensure timely payment.
- Manage personal property tax audits.
- Assist the customer service group in connection with personal property tax questions.
- Other duties that may be assigned.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while displaying excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite along with working knowledge of Excel required.
- Ability to learn various proprietary software programs.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to adhere to appropriate company policies and procedures
- Must be detail focused and possess excellent follow up skills
- An understanding of general accounting concepts.
