Class A CDL Driver

Location: Nitro, WV

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Saturday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Position Type: Temporary to Permanent

About the Position

We're looking for a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to join our team! This is a local driving position hauling scrap metal using roll-off and lugger trucks. You'll enjoy steady, reliable hours with no overnight travel and the opportunity to become a permanent employee.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate roll-off and lugger trucks to transport scrap metal to and from local locations
• Inspect vehicles before and after each shift to ensure safe operating condition
• Secure loads and comply with all DOT and company safety regulations
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate driving records
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while providing excellent customer service
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and yard personnel
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned equipment

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Clean driving record preferred
• Previous roll-off or lugger truck experience is a plus
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
• Ability to perform daily vehicle inspections
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Must be able to pass standard pre-employment screening
