Excavator/Shear Operator
Location: Nitro, WV
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Saturday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate an excavator equipped with a shear attachment safely and efficiently
- Process, cut, and sort scrap metal materials using the shear attachment
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Move, load, and organize materials throughout the work yard
- Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures
- Work independently while maintaining productivity and efficiency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Experience operating an excavator with a shear attachment is required
- Strong heavy equipment operating skills
- Safety-conscious with the ability to work independently
- Reliable attendance and a dependable work history
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work as part of a team
