Senior Designer / Creative Lead – Workplace, Commercial & Hospitality

Depending on experience, the role may be tailored as a Creative Lead for those ready to lead project direction, mentor junior staff, and take ownership of all design phases. This position offers the chance to contribute to a wide range of high-profile projects while shaping the built environment with purpose and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the artistic direction, conceptual framework, and design philosophy for the firm's projects to ensure alignment with brand and client goals.
- Lead the full interior design process, from concept through construction, ensuring design excellence and technical precision.
- Oversee and provide creative direction to a team of 15 designers.
- Contribute to the firm's business development and marketing efforts by participating in interviews to pursue new work and projects.
- Assist with marketing efforts, preparation of RFP responses, and participation in presentations.
- Present design concepts, material selections, and layouts to clients and internal teams with clarity and confidence.
- Research and explore the use of new materials, technologies, and products to incorporate into designs.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, accessibility standards, and construction documentation best practices.
- Mentor design staff and create a collaborative environment for the design team.
- Participate in the review process for interior designers by providing constructive feedback to guide the design team in producing high-quality work.
- Collaborate with Principals to review yearly department goals, budgets, and other management communications as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- 10 –15 years of professional interior design experience, including significant work in workplace, commercial, hospitality, or institutional settings.
- Demonstrated design sensibility and attention to detail.
- Proven experience managing deadlines and coordinating across disciplines in fast-paced environments.
- Strategic thinking skills for generating ideas, exploring, and executing new techniques.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
