Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, appetizing meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes.

• Ensure meals are prepared in accordance with residents' dietary needs and physician-ordered therapeutic diets.

• Maintain proper food temperatures, quality, and presentation.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.

• Assist with food preparation, serving, and cleanup as needed.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.

• Monitor food inventory and properly store supplies.

• Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and healthcare team to provide an exceptional dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, long-term care, restaurant, school, or commercial kitchen preferred.

• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Reliable, dependable, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

• A genuine passion for serving seniors with dignity, kindness, and respect.
