- Prepare and cook nutritious, appetizing meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes.
- Ensure meals are prepared in accordance with residents' dietary needs and physician-ordered therapeutic diets.
- Maintain proper food temperatures, quality, and presentation.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.
- Assist with food preparation, serving, and cleanup as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Monitor food inventory and properly store supplies.
- Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and healthcare team to provide an exceptional dining experience for residents.
- Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, long-term care, restaurant, school, or commercial kitchen preferred.
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
