Position Summary
The PM Server at Marcy Restaurant provides attentive and efficient service to guests during dinner service, ensuring a warm welcome and exceptional hospitality in an upscale yet approachable environment. Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking and delivering orders, providing knowledgeable recommendations, and creating a memorable dining experience that reflects the Grand Adirondack’s commitment to quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly; present menus and specials

• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen/bar team

• Serve menu items to guests while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards

• Suggest wine, cocktails, and upsell menu items where appropriate

• Refill beverages, clear and reset tables, and maintain a clean, organized dining space

• Process guest checks, handle payments, and close out shifts accurately

• Support teammates and assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed

• Follow all safety, sanitation, and brand service protocols

Qualifications

• Prior serving experience in dinner or fine dining preferred

• Knowledge of wine, beer, and cocktail service a plus

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs

• Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts

Pay Range

• Recommended base pay: $20–$24/hour plus tips

  • Evening/dinner service in Lake Placid generally generates higher tip income than AM service

  • Top performers at upscale venues locally often average $30–$35/hour with tips included
