Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking for a rewarding career? WILO NJ is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team and provide essential support to individuals with disabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensuring resident safety and wellness at all times
Maintaining accurate time sheets, note taking, documentation and staff checklist completion
Light housekeeping to ensure homes are kept clean and organized during shifts
Transporting residents to and from programs and activities;
Maintaining professional communications and interactions with all parties including residents, parents and other staff.
Facilitating residents during life skills training such as personal wellness (gym time), laundry skills, personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning and other skills training;
Conducting Quality Assurance Checklists during shifts.
Other tasks associated with the care and safety of WILO NJ residents as deemed necessary by the direct supervisor
Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Successful completion of Background/Fingerprint check and Drug testing.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
