The Role
Wright is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will take a leading role in Wright Electric’s motor and power programs. You'll help us build prototypes and production-ready units, and support the full design life cycle including design, procurement, fabrication, and test. The ideal candidate is assertive, pragmatic, hands-on, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
What You'll Do
- Mechanical design of innovative power generation systems and their components
- Prepare drawings and source custom parts from fabricators
- Build, integrate, and test motors, generators, and power systems
Qualifications
Required:
- 10 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required
- Demonstrated proficiency 3D CAD software, such as Solidworks or Onshape
- Expert in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the company to accomplish common goals
Desired :
- Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Project and team leadership experience
- Prototyping Experience
- Manufacturing Experience
- Experience with engines and generators
- Capable of owning tasks from beginning to end and supervising junior engineers and technicians
Location:
Malta, New York. On-site presence is required.
Pay: $115,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
