Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Design mechanical components and products using SOLIDWORKS, including enclosures, heatsinks, housings, and mounting hardware.
- Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and refine designs for reliability and production readiness.
- Collaborate with manufacturing vendors on tooling, inspections, design changes, and production builds.
- Maintain accurate engineering drawings, CAD files, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Troubleshoot product defects, implement corrective actions, and support UL certification and IP rating compliance.
- Manage product development from concept through production while coordinating project timelines and updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on mechanical product design and development experience.
- Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS for part modeling, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
- Experience with prototyping, testing, manufacturing suppliers, and design for manufacturability.
- Knowledge of injection molding, engineering plastics, and other manufacturing processes preferred.
- Experience with sealed enclosures, thermal design for electronics, or UL certification preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
