Key Responsibilities
Document Control
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Transport materials, products or equipment to and from specified destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, fuel records, mileage reports, and delivery documentation.
- Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and loaded at its designated locations
- Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers.
- Report on vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned vehicle.
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and DOT compliance requirements.
- Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
Preferred Skills
- Experience hauling construction materials, heavy equipment, or specialized freight.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (as required).
- Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT Regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to operate GPS systems, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and related equipment.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Local, regional, or long-haul travel depending on company needs.
- May require evening, weekend, holiday, or overnight work.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, traffic, and construction environments.
