The Roderick Elementary School is seeking a paraprofessional to work primarily with students in special education in grades 4-6. General Responsibilities: -Review and be familiar with students individual social, emotional and/or academic needs -Implement lessons individually or in small groups under the direction of a supervising educator. -Follow through on teacher directives or feedback and seek advice and support as needed. -Adjust student support in the moment to promote student independence-Implement school-wide behavioral expectations-Model appropriate behavior and reinforce as needed-Maintain confidentiality -Collect academic and/or behavioral student data-Supervise students during transitions and assigned time blocks-Utilize computer technology for tasks, as required -Other responsibilities, as assigned by the building principal and/or supervisor
