What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional position at Charles E. Roderick Elementary School?
The Roderick Elementary School is seeking a paraprofessional to work primarily with students in special education in grades 4-6.
General Responsibilities:
-Review and be familiar with students individual social, emotional and/or academic needs
-Implement lessons individually or in small groups under the direction of a supervising educator.
-Follow through on teacher directives or feedback and seek advice and support as needed.
-Adjust student support in the moment to promote student independence
-Implement school-wide behavioral expectations
-Model appropriate behavior and reinforce as needed
-Maintain confidentiality
-Collect academic and/or behavioral student data
-Supervise students during transitions and assigned time blocks
-Utilize computer technology for tasks, as required
-Other responsibilities, as assigned by the building principal and/or supervisor
