What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator position at WRDS?
We are looking for a reliable logistics coordinator to be responsible for the preparation and management of company delivery orders. A logistics coordinator’s responsibilities include reviewing shipment materials, and collaborating with transportation to ensure on-time pick-ups and delivery. You will also be responsible for monitoring the related cost to stay within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing bills and invoices
- Responsible for the daily/weekly tracking. Working as a Liaison for the Dispatch and broker for internal customer service
- Assist Drivers with delivery directions and effective communication between the driver and Coordinator
- Coordinate with others in the department for awareness of driver, freight, and asset availability
- When available, plan for future freight
- Coordinate backhauls to meet customer’s needs and keep freight, trucks, and trailers moving consistently
- Monitor Hours of Service for dispatching and compliance
- Assist in orienting new drivers to fleets/accounts on proper ways to communicate, report to work, and other scheduling expectations
- Work with drivers who have unique scheduling needs or issues that arise
- Ensure coordination with supervisors and managers for special items such as leaves of absence, extended time off requests or concerns about meeting expectations
Requirements:
- Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication
- Ability to work with office equipment, utilizing computers for majority of tasks
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
- Ability to multitask and Prioritize workload.
- Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent customer service and client relations skills
- Expert inventory management
- Be able to understand if they need to RESCUE our truck -Occasional travel by air or car
- Work with drivers who have unique scheduling needs or issues that arise
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
