We are looking for a Grant Accountant to join our mission-driven team. Responsibilities
Oversee financial management for 90 grants and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and submit grant invoices, financial reports, and journal entries.
Maintain adherence to government and foundation funding requirements (e.g., NYC/NY State agencies).
Respond to inquiries from funders and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
Support funder desk audits and assist with special financial reporting projects.
Manage budget tracking, expense reconciliation, and allocation processes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.
2–3 years of grant accounting experience, preferably with NYC/NY State funders (DFTA, DYCD, OTDA).
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF statements).
Familiarity with PASSPort, HHS Accelerator, or Grants Gateway (a plus).
Knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance (preferred).
