IT Systems Analyst

The IT Systems Analyst is a full-time position reporting to the Director of IT.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and availability of cloud and infrastructure systems
• Review Azure, Windows Server, application, and system logs to identify anomalies, risks, or performance concerns
• Monitor alerts, incidents, and infrastructure events using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, SIEM, or other monitoring tools
• Investigate and troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and connectivity issues, escalating as appropriate
• Assist with the administration and maintenance of Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity services
• Support user access management and identity-related tasks within Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
• Help validate backup processes, disaster recovery procedures, and business continuity plans
• Maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and reporting to ensure visibility into system health and performance
• Document infrastructure configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting activities
• Provide recommendations regarding infrastructure performance, security, and reliability based on observed trends and findings

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
• 3–7 years of experience supporting IT systems, infrastructure operations, technical support, or cloud-based environments
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services and core cloud infrastructure concepts
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments and related infrastructure technologies
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), networking, and storage concepts
• Experience monitoring system performance, reviewing logs, and troubleshooting infrastructure or application issues
• Exposure to virtualization technologies and enterprise IT environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to clearly communicate findings and system issues
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze trends, and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SIEM, log management, or monitoring tools (e.g., Sumo Logic, Splunk, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
• Basic scripting or automation experience (PowerShell or similar tools)
• Familiarity with Linux environments
• Experience supporting healthcare, HIPAA-regulated, or other highly regulated environments
• Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity concepts
• Exposure to cloud security principles, access controls, and compliance frameworks
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database fundamentals
