Shipping & Receiving Associate – Afternoon Shift

We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our afternoon shift team, 3PM-11PM. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in keeping materials moving efficiently through our facility by coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting smooth production flow.

Key Responsibilities 

• Schedule and communicate with carriers for inbound and outbound freight 

• Receive, unload, and accurately store materials into inventory 

• Stage materials and machines for work‑in‑process and ensure accurate system transactions 

• Prepare outbound shipments and load trucks to meet delivery schedules 

• Generate and process shipping and receiving paperwork, including bills of lading and export documentation 

• Ensure proper receipt of coils and materials into the computer system 

• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with internal departments 

• Issue tools and production components and maintain required logbooks 

• Train and support other Shipping & Receiving team members 

• Follow all safety procedures and standards 

• Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications & Experience 

• Experience with inventory control and material handling preferred 

• Forklift and Overhead Crane experience required (certification a plus) 

• Working knowledge of PC applications and Windows operating systems (Oracle experience helpful but trainable) 

• Familiarity with shipping documentation and system transactions 

• Ability to collaborate across departments such as production, purchasing, and maintenance 

• Strong organization, time management, and communication skills 

• Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check. 

• Dependable transportation to the facility door entrance is required. Public transportation and/or walking are not options due to safety regulations.
