What You'll Do Program Dates: June 22 – August 14, 2026 Location: Alameda, CA (Hybrid: 2–3 days onsite) Salary: $25/hour The World Market Internship Program is a paid, 8-week experience designed to give students hands-on, real-world exposure to the retail industry. You’ll get to work on real projects, meet awesome people, and explore what a career in retail could look like for you. Interns will work on individual and group projects while gaining exposure to various areas through field trips, executive lunches, workshops, and cross-department shadowing opportunities. Departments participating in this year’s program include: E-Commerce Human Resources/Workers’ Compensation and Safety Inventory Management Merchandising Technology/Cybersecurity What You'll Bring A collaborative mindset with fresh, creative ideas and a genuine curiosity to learn. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective solutions. A proactive, can-do attitude, anticipating needs and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, working effectively across teams. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (and an eagerness to learn new tools). Strong organizational skills and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic retail environment. Prior retail experience is a plus but not required.
