What You'll Do
Program Dates: June 22 – August 14, 2026
Location: Alameda, CA (Hybrid: 2–3 days onsite)
Salary: $25/hour
The World Market Internship Program is a paid, 8-week experience designed to give students hands-on, real-world exposure to the retail industry. You’ll get to work on real projects, meet awesome people, and explore what a career in retail could look like for you.
Interns will work on individual and group projects while gaining exposure to various areas through field trips, executive lunches, workshops, and cross-department shadowing opportunities.
Departments Participating In This Year’s Program Include
Full time and Part time associates are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan after three (3) months of service.
Benefits for full-time employment on the first of the month following 30 days of continuous employment include offerings for programs including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending, Commuter Benefits and Employee Assistance.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (and an eagerness to learn new tools).
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic retail environment.
- Prior retail experience is a plus but not required.
- Real-world experience in a dynamic retail environment that celebrates creativity and global artistry.
- Mentorship and guidance from industry professionals, while building meaningful connections through networking and team activities.
- Opportunities to contribute to meaningful projects that make an impact across the organization.
- Strengthened presentation and communication skills through meetings, cross-functional collaboration, professional email writing, Teams communication, and presentation delivery.
- Exposure to a variety of corporate retail functions (e.g., Merchandising, HR, Planning, Product Development) to help identify areas of long-term interest.
