Chinese (Mandarin) Speaking Lead Preschool Teacher

In addition, children have an opportunity to proactively use and practice these languages in a challenging but emotionally supportive environment that stimulates all their senses.

Position Summary

We are looking for energetic, fun, well rounded teachers who are passionate about early childhood education. The ideal candidate is a native Mandarin speaker who has prior teaching experience. We are looking for someone who is comfortable interacting with children in Mandarin and leading lessons including circle and project times.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that children are in a safe, supportive, and developmentally appropriate environment at all times.

• Plan and implement age-appropriate, engaging activities that line up with WorldKids School®’s curriculum and promote holistic development & growth.

• Teach in an immersion early childhood setting, supporting language and cultural learning.

• WorldKids School® maintains a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.

• Collaborate with parents to support each child’s individual needs and growth.

• Document children’s daily activities, progress, and milestones; communicate regularly with families via Tadpoles.

• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and school events as required.

• Support a positive, inclusive classroom culture aligned with WorldKids School® values.

• Support classroom management by establishing consistent routines and positive behavior guidance strategies.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, or sit on the floor for extended periods.

• Frequent transitions between standing, sitting, and floor positions.

• Ability to lift and carry children (up to 40–50 lbs.) and classroom equipment/furniture.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of 18 years of age.

• Fluency in Chinese, Mandarin

• Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children in a childcare or early learning setting.

• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Location & Schedule: M-F, on-site Bellevue

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
