Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing individualized support as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance the learning experience.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using appropriate behavior management techniques.
- Teach physical education activities that promote physical health and well-being.
- Collaborate with other educators to ensure a cohesive curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and developmental milestones.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children in a childcare or classroom setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of child welfare practices and early childhood development principles.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that respects diversity.
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional support to children as needed is a plus.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred but not required upon hiring.
