Position: Sr. Commercial Credit Analyst
Location: Goodyear Arizona

SUMMARY:
Works independently reviewing financial statements and tax returns of potential borrowers. Determines credit worthiness and prepares Credit Authorization Memorandums per Bank guidelines. Manages ongoing portfolio of clients.
Provides credit analysis on new and renewal loan requests, including analyzing financial statements, tax returns and preparation of Credit Authorization Memorandums (CAMs). Monitor existing loan relationships to ensure financial reporting and loan covenants are being met. Identify trends in credit quality and suggest risk rating changes as appropriate. Determines if lending policies, practices and procedures are adequate and being followed. Reviews a percentage of the Bank’s loans for quality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Treats customers with respect and dignity. Manages ongoing customer loan relationship.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:
(Include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned):
• Responsible for preparing detailed credit memorandums (CAM’s) outlining the credit facility structure, sources of repayment, collateral, etc…
• Strong working knowledge and ability to spread Corporate and personal tax returns as well as financial statements
• Must monitor portfolio, track loan covenants and suggest risk rating upgrades/downgrades as appropriate
• Provides assessments of loan condition and quality;
• Maintains a good working knowledge of the Bank’s lending policies and procedures, and identifies deviations from policy;
• Provides credit analysis and underwriting on any existing or new loan requests;
• Conducts periodic inspections of underlying collateral;
• Assists the Credit Administrator with various reports;
• Should have experience underwriting C&I and Commercial Real Estate Loans.
• Experience with government guarantee programs such as SBA/USDA is a plus;
• Responsible for obtaining financial statements and other reporting requirements from borrower and guarantors.
• Has access to confidential information. Protects the privacy and confidentiality of customers, other employees, and the Bank
• Establishes and maintains strong customer relationships and trust in order to fully understand the small business customer’s needs and objectives
SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
• Prior experience in the Banking/Credit industry;
• Knowledge of Bank credit underwriting;
• Experience with financial statement/Tax Return spreading software
• Analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions;
• Previous work experience in analyzing financial statements and underwriting processes.

COMPENSATION:
The annual salary for this position is from $80K - $90K based on years of experience.
There is an discretionary annual bonus based on the banks profitability for that fiscal year.
