What will you be doing?
As a Senior Software Engineer within the Information Security team, you will be part of the team that is developing solutions to integrate and automate tools, data, and processes to make faster and more accurate business decisions. You will apply your software engineering skills to prototype and mature cross-domain solutions that accelerate our business, maintain compliance, and identify risks by combining disparate data sets, tools, AI solutions, and visualization technologies. These efforts are part of a strategic initiative to scale our business, automate processes, and leverage AI to reduce risk. Your results will be visible and leveraged by leaders across the Information Security and Information Technology organizations.

What will you be doing?
As a Senior Software Engineer within the Information Security team, you will be part of the team that is developing solutions to integrate and automate tools, data, and processes to make faster and more accurate business decisions. Responsibilities:
- Build functional software and deliver technical solutions that consistently exceed stakeholder expectations using software, automation, and AI technologies.
- Ensure software and solutions scale well, are cost-effective, and adhere to software development best practices.
- Integrate data sources and technologies, leveraging commercial, open-source, or organic solutions.
- Develop analytics and dashboards for managers, directors, and executive leaders
- Develop rapid evaluation prototypes and enterprise-grade solutions
- Provide technical and professional mentoring for team members.
- Lead projects and complex assignments with broad and ambiguous scopes.
- Write thoughtful, documented code that is maintainable and efficient.
- Interact directly with stakeholders to understand functional requirements and needs.
- Demo solutions and communicate status to stakeholders at all levels.
- Participate in ideation sessions and strategic planning. Help foster a team-first environment grounded in an understanding of and a commitment to the WWT Core Values.
Qualifications:
- Passionate about software development and delivering large and/or complex solutions in an iterative process.
- 8 - 10 years of experience in scripting and web development technologies such as:
- Python and high-level languages such as C , Golang, Java
- Vue, Angular, or React
- JavaScript/NodeJS
- PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Understanding of REST API’s, data integrations, and security access controls.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, software build lifecycle, testing, containers, GitHub
- Possess a solid understanding of Agile principles.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) for both a technical and non-technical audience.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Thorough understanding of what it takes to deliver an application from inception to production.
- Comfortable mentoring other developers.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science
- US citizenship
