Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources and Office Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our research, education, and advocacy programs to ensuring compliance with employment laws, fostering a positive workplace culture, utilizing our volunteer and professional staff effeciently, and providing core accounting responsibilities. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
Duties
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Oversee employee and volunteer orientation programs to ensure smooth integration into the nonprofit organization.
- Conduct employee evaluations and support performance management initiatives.
- Maintain employee program timesheets providing tracking and cost reporting by programs.
- Manage employee relations issues, providing conflict management support as needed.
- Provide accounts receivable collection and reporting.
- Maintain employee payroll and accounting records using QuickBooks Desktop and Drake Accounting software.
- Complete annual financial statements under supervision of CPA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of work history in human resources. Strong knowledge of workforce management principles and monitoring workplace effeciencies.
- Experience with payroll and accounting systems including QuickBooks Desktop.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry and record keeping.
