What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Pharmacy Technician position at World Pharmacy?
- Maintain current pharmacy technician license and PTCB certification
- Provide assistance to patients and health care providers, both over the phone and in-person
- Accurately data process prescriptions in the computer database
- Efficiently prepare and fill drug orders for patient pick-up, and deliveries to long term care facilities and patient homes
- Greet and assist clients at the cash register, in a friendly and professional manner
- Work cooperatively with insurance companies, as needed
- Contact physicians’ offices with questions regarding prescriptions
- Order drug stock and maintain inventory
- Assist with third party insurance audits and Board of Pharmacy inspections
- Assist the Pharmacist on Duty with dispensing and providing prescriptions and over-the-counter items
- Complete routine operational tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist on Duty
- Strictly adhere to ethical, regulatory, and quality assurance requirements'
