What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stagehand position at World of Illumination?
POSITION SUMMARY:
World of Illumination is looking for experienced Stagehands to help bring our large-scale holiday light shows to life. This is a hands-on, outdoor role supporting the installation of scenic displays, temporary structures, lighting, cabling, and event equipment.
We’re looking for dependable, hardworking people who are comfortable using tools, working as part of a crew, and getting the job done in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Previous stagehand, event production, construction, installation, electrical, or similar hands-on experience
- Comfortable and experiences using hand and power tools
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to keep up in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working outdoors and at heights
- Can work 7 days a week, for the longevity of the project
- Forklift or aerial lift experience/certification
- Able to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and install scenic displays, props, and temporary structures
- Run and connect lighting, power, and communication cables
- Load, unload, move, and organize event equipment and materials
- Use hand and power tools to support installation and repairs
- Set up tents, signage, cones, and other site equipment
- Assist with forklifts, aerial lifts, and other equipment when certified
- Troubleshoot and repair lighting or displays as needed
- Keep the jobsite clean, organized, and safe
- Work closely with the Foreman and installation crew to complete the build on schedule
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $23.00 per hour
