What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant General Manager position at World Equestrian Center?
The Polo Pony Assistant General Manager will be responsible for assisting the Polo Pony General Manager in all aspects of the operation, including guest and associate satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment to both CHM and Ownership.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Openly communicates with the General Manager regarding all restaurant operations and personnel issues.
- Acts as General Manager when the General Manager is on leave or vacation.
- Interviews and hires associates as directed by the General Manager.
- Makes recommendations and is actively involved in the training, coaching, development, and discipline of associates as directed by the General Manager.
- Supports General Manager in the ordering and purchasing for the restaurant.
- Plays an active role in and becomes proficient in planning and analysis.
- Regularly talks with guests to ensure high guest satisfaction.
- Maintains Guest Satisfaction results and communication with team members and develops action plans.
- Is responsible for assisting the General Manager with Marketing, Budgeting, and Forecasting.
- Responsible for opening, closing of the restaurant.
- Responsible for running Front of House Shifts or Back of House Shifts as assigned.
- Scheduling Front of House Staff and Back of House Staff as assigned.
- Directing and Supporting Front of House and Back of House Line Level Associates.
- Conduct shift meetings and effectively communicate information to the team.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 3 years of food and beverage supervisor experience.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and retail POS system.
- Knowledge of proper service etiquette and standards.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Self-motivated, organized, and ability to solve problems.
- Professional appearance.
