Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes using Mazak control systems to produce precision parts according to detailed drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
- Conduct precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure parts meet strict tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on CNC lathes to maintain optimal machine performance.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings accurately to interpret dimensions, materials, and assembly instructions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assist in inspection, or secondary operations as needed.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency and reduce waste in the machining process.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality control of machined parts.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical specifications for complex components.
- Experience working with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing practices to promote continuous improvement in machining operations.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
