Your Main Responsibilities:
As our Manufacturing HR and Operations Manager, your keen attention to detail and strong managerial skills will allow you to make meaningful contributions to our manufacturing department. This position will provide beneficial administrative and personnel oversite to our manufacturing facility in Libertyville.
A typical day will involve the following tasks:
- Manage personnel matters for the manufacturing department by spearheading activities including recruitment, employee retention, onboarding, reviews, grievances, disciplinary actions, compliance, and other confidential employee matters.
- Develop and implement employee training and development programs.
- Enforce compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations under the guidance of the company's legal counsel.
- Act as liaison between manufacturing and sales departments to ensure customer needs are met and understood between the departments.
- Oversee the timely collection and evaluation of production data, identifying areas for improvement based on the data.
- Manage and continue to develop the safety program for the manufacturing departments.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Dir of Manufacturing, Legal Counsel, and the Plant Manager.
About You/Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field
- At least 3 years' experience with people management and/or Human Resources experience/training
- In depth experience with managing and documenting confidential and sensitive matters
- Experience following and enforcing employment and legal compliance standards in the workplace
- At least 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing, distribution or purchasing environment (preferred)
- Advanced level of comfort working with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience with MRP, buying, supply and demand management, and forecasting (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
