What You Will Do as a Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Engineering:
The Senior Manager, Infrastructure Engineering is accountable for leading all technology infrastructure engineering for the organization. This leader has deep expertise in technology engineering (the design, development, implementation, diagnosis, or repair of technology solutions), modern engineering practices, and solution delivery in both cloud and on-prem environments. Infrastructure solutions include platforms (compute, storage), network, integration (middleware, databases), end-user computing (communication and collaboration), and data engineering (information modeling and information engineering). This role is accountable for leading a team of 15 staff members, and solution vendor/engineering professional services contracts in excess of $1M (and possibly higher depending on the level of investment each year). This key technology leader is accountable for infrastructure solution delivery and leading change and modernization in both technology and ways of working across engineering teams.
How You Will Make a Difference:
- Lead and manage a team of staff members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Select and contract with technology solution vendors and engineering professional service providers for the delivery of infrastructure solutions
- Drive the adoption of modern integration engineering practices while leading team through process and practice changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially application engineering teams, to define and execute infrastructure engineering strategies that align with business and technology goals
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the infrastructure engineering team, promoting professional growth and development
- Establish and track engineering KPIs that measure the effectiveness of solution delivery, and the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of delivered solutions
Skills for Success:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field/experience; advanced degree preferred
- Proven experience in leading on-premises infrastructure engineering
- Proven experience in leading infrastructure engineering using cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Specific experience leading infrastructure engineering in Microsoft Azure is preferred
- Excellent leadership and change management skills, with experience leading teams of 15 staff
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the clothing manufacturing and apparel industry is a plus
