Position SummaryThe Operations Manager - 2nd Shift is responsible for overseeing production operations during the assigned shift to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery goals are achieved at Workwear Outfitters. This role serves as a hands-on operational leader and primary point of contact during the shift and does not have direct supervisory responsibility.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee daily production activities during the 2nd shift to meet operational targets
- Monitor production flow, equipment performance, and material availability to minimize downtime
- Act as the on-site production authority during the shift and escalate issues as appropriate
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and other shifts to resolve operational issues
- Track and communicate shift performance metrics, including output, gap time, and downtime
- Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives
- Provide guidance and coordination to production associates without direct reporting responsibility
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and shift handoff communication
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5 years of manufacturing or production operations experience
- Knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems
- Ability to influence and lead without direct authority
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Basic proficiency in production systems and Microsoft Office applications

Physical & Work Environment RequirementsManufacturing environment requiring extended periods of standing and walking. May involve exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) required as applicable.
