Vineyard Tractor Operator: Reports to Supervisor 1, Reports to the Vineyard manager

Requirements:
-Valid Oregon driver's license to drive company vehicle
-Tractor / equipment experience, (2) or more years of experience.

Preferred (not required):
-Valid Oregon Farm CDL endorsement

General Description of Duties:
A Vineyard Technician 1 will operate a Tractor, ATV, & heavy truck, safely and properly. They will maintain all their equipment & implements in a clean & operational manner. Setup & general maintenance of equipment, small supervised equipment repairs, coordination of equipment usage with supervisor 1. Coordination of quality control & time tracking. Highly skilled vineyard hand labor is required. Take excellent care of all vineyard property while maintaining a safe, clean, & quality-based approach. Working with an awareness of all personnel, visitors, & contractors in a dynamic winery operation. Knowledge of vineyard trellis, vineyard layout, irrigation operations, & agricultural activities.

Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds of equipment, bags of grapes and other material
-The employee will be frequently exposed to wet/or humid conditions, dust, chemical residues as well as occasionally exposed

Essential Duties & Responsibilities May Include:
-Tractor, pickup, ATV operation
-Equipment hauling with trailer
-Special equipment setup & operations
-Special projects
-Leadership among full time crew
-Can operate all equipment at a high skill level
-General maintenance of equipment
-Highly Skilled hand labor
-General farm labor
-Responsible pesticide application.
-Vineyard layout & trellis install & maintenance
-Harvest activities
-Harvest fruit hauling & forklift operation
-Vineyard Maintenance
-Irrigation system install, operation, & repairs
-Forklift operation
-Approved use of vendor accounts

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
In order to perform this job successfully an individual will have tractor/equipment experience, (2) or more years of experience and/or a willingness to learn quickly by on the job training. Perform good oral communication skills to understand and interpret documents such as safety rules of operation and maintenance manuals. Vineyard Technician will be exposed to mixing chemicals.

Pay: $17.50 - $22.50 per hour
