Position Summary
We are looking for a gritty, driven, and collaborative Business Development Representative to grow our presence in Commerce, GA. This role focuses on identifying and winning new business opportunities in the light industrial staffing sector. Once accounts are secured, they will be transitioned to the local branch team for ongoing management and support.
You’ll be the boots-on-the-ground sales expert—meeting with decision-makers, uncovering workforce needs, and introducing them to the WorkSmart difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect & Win New Business: Source and secure new staffing clients through cold calling, drop-ins, networking, referrals, and outreach strategies.
- Sales Outreach: Build a strong presence in the local business community through outbound sales efforts and consistent in-person engagement.
- Consultative Selling: Understand client pain points and present WorkSmart’s Staffing solutions that align with their needs.
- Hand Off & Support: Transition new accounts to the branch team for fulfillment and ongoing management, while ensuring a smooth handoff experience.
- Activity Management: Track all sales activity, follow-ups, and results in our CRM or designated system.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about local market trends, business activity, and competitive movements.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent WorkSmart in the community by attending events, participating in associations, and staying visible and approachable.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, B2B sales, or similar roles—staffing or service-based industries preferred.
- Knowledge of Northeast Georgia and surrounding areas strongly preferred.
- Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.
